You are welcome to come visit us to see how our soap is made. Please call or email to arrange a visit.
Our aim is to provide a soap that makes a hot bath an occasion. A soothing, relaxing pleasure, a reward for your tired body and frayed nerves, an experience that revitalizes and refreshes as it cleanses.
Our products captivate the eye, delight the nose and clean, stimulate and pamper your skin!
Long winters dry our skin causing irritation and premature ageing. Natural soaps average 35% moisture compared with 5% in commercial products.
Our traditional process ensures that one third of the oil is converted into natural glycerin, a deep, soothing moisturizer.
All Opeongo Soaps are handmade and handcut.
Our focus is on quality and purity not volume or mass marketing.
Curing lets the soap harden so it lasts longer.
Our soaps do not just smell good and feel good, they're environmentally friendly too!
All of our soaps are made with goat milk or rain water for a proper PH balance. Each bar is hand cut and packaged with love. Our goal is to create luxury soaps of the highest quality for an affordable price.
We use recycled materials as much as possible in our packaging.

Basic ingredients for all soaps are 100% vegetable shortening (soya or canola oil) sodium hydroxide (for a cold process soap) olive oil, canola oil, castor oil.
We use either 35% Fresh Goat's Milk or Rainwater for less minerals in the soaps.
In compliance with the INCI labelling standard, all ingredients are listed on each label in Latin. We also list the English names for clarity.
Herbs and Spices
Many of our soaps are blended with herbs and/or spices to colour and scent the soap naturally - cinnamon, for example.
Essential oils are pure plant oils. Our essential oils are high quality, pure and undiluted.
We recommend the Encyclopaedia of Essential Oils by Julia Lawless for more complete information.
Fragrance oils are cosmetic grade and have been formulated for use in all types of soaps.
